Contemplating the lives of great saints is a powerful way to connect to their grace and awaken our own instincts on the spiritual path. In this course, we will learn from five great saints of the bhakti tradition: Nāmdev from Mahārāṣṭra, Kabīr Dāsa from Uttar Pradesh, Mīrābāī from Rajasthān, Caitanya Mahāprabhu from West Bengal and Tukārām from Mahārāṣṭra.
Although these saints lived in the 11th-17th centuries, their timeless way of being is a powerful example to this day. Through a mix of videos and readings, we will dive deep into the lives and teachings of each saint, unpacking the lessons hidden in their stories as well as the key ideas in their writings and music. We will also explore the historical context of each saint’s life and the legacy they left behind.
By the end of this course, you will be able to introduce the glory of these saints to others!
